Yes. There is no typing error on the ticket prices. Its very affordable.
What is Allowed : Bags, reference books, Phones (but no photo clicking pls), water bottle.
Washrooms : There are washrooms available at the museum for public use.
Cloak Room : There is no facility for keeping things. You can carry a backpack to keep your things with you.
Footwear stand : No need to take your shoes/slippers off.
Parking : There is ample amount of car parking available in the Cubbon park side.
Museum Canteen :
The museum canteen is situated on the back side of the museum and serves some small eats like sandwiches, samosas, roti plate etc.
General eateries :
You will need to go to UB city side or towards Lavelle road. It’s less than 5 minute drive from the museum.
- Drinking water, carry a bottle of water with you.
- Leave your backpack in the car or hotel. It is a nice museum and you can spend between 1 to 2 hours here. Better not to carry more things.
- Power bank/Battery pack for your phone.

The museum is one of the oldest in the country. It is over 150 years old. Started off with collection and display of artefacts that were found by the archeology department of that time.
