The Basics

It is good to refresh our memory on these mythology basics. In South India, almost all the key monuments will have references to gods, goddesses and mythological tales. Knowing these will help one appreciate the work by artists.

Thanjavur District is the Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu. It is also known as the cultural capital of Tamilnadu for its contribution on Dance forms and Art forms.

Many still call this place as Tanjore, which actually is an anglicized version of Thanjavur.
